Overlay: Mandatory login

Mandatory login ensures that each end user is identified before he starts doing the training (playing the journeys). This functionality enables the managers to gather detailed information about different end users' activities and progress and monitor them in the Analytics tool.

The feature of mandatory login is available only in case that Personal Analytics functionality is switched on. This can be done in Portal for each site in the Advanced Settings section - the property "personalAnalytics.enabled" has to be set as true:

Once the Personal Analytics is on, user login is enabled in the User Settings section of the Launcher panel. Until user identifies himself, there is "Unknown" instead of the username:

When user clicks "Set your identity", he is allowed to insert his username:

The mandatory login popup for the user identification will appear automatically in all the cases mentioned below (if the user is not identified in the Launcher in advance):

• If the user starts the Journey from the Launcher panel, login popup appears before the first step is shown
• If the Journey is started from the Journey link, login popup appears after the first step
• If there are Autostart conditions set and Journey starts playing automatically, login popup appears after the first step
• If the Journey is started via API, login popup appears before the first step

Once the end user inserts the username and confirms with the Next button or Enter key, he can proceed forward with the journey.
