In order to work properly, Upload care Media plugin needs to be linked to an existing Upload care project to store and retrieve images. In the following article, we will explain what to do on the Upload care site to set up a project, and then what to do inside the plugin folder to link the add/on to the project.
Upload care site
- Go to Uploadcare and create an account (or login, if you already have one).
- From your dashboard, click on Create project or click on the existing one you want to use.
- Open the API Keys tab and, if you don't have one, generate a private key.
2. Copy both the public key and the private key. You will need both of them later.
Portal folder
- Open the folder where your portal is stored. Go to <NEWIRED FOLDER>\plugins\uploadcareMedia\editor and open with a text editor the file called credentials.json.
- Replace the values for the public key and the secret key (on the right of the colon symbol, image below) with the ones you copied from your project on the Upload care site. Remember that both keys need to be inside quotation marks, as shown in the image below.
Portal app
Open the portal from a browser and go to the Add-ons section. Then, click on Reload to apply the changes you made in the credentials.json file.
