Selector passive mode

Modified on Mon, 14 Aug, 2023 at 2:32 PM

The selector "Passive Mode" enables you to click on the page elements without attaching the callout/tip to the items clicked. This enables you to click on dropdown menus (or any other kind of element) that require additional clicks in order to display. To enable it, press fn+F3 (on macOS) or F3 (on Windows) on your keyboard. Once you have the element that you want to attach the step/tip on, press again fn+F3/F3 to go back to the active mode and select it.

NOTE: While the “Passive Mode” is enabled, you will see the highlight becomes grey, which means that the passive mode is enabled. Once you press the command again, it will go back to the usual colours and the passive mode will be disabled.
