Public Tags in the Launcher

Modified on Thu, 3 Apr at 2:01 PM

Public Tags feature is available when using new Launcher 2.0 and helps to categorize Journeys, Bookmarks and Playbooks in the Launcher.

You can find more details about Public Tags management and assignment in this article: Assigning Public Tags to the content

Editor - content author's view

Enabled Public Tags assigned to at least one content item are shown in the Launcher main view. Even, if the Public Tag is assigned only to:

  • an empty Playbook
  • Playbook that contains only Journey which is not accessible for end users because of the visibility rules
  • Journey set as not accessible by the visibility rules
  • Bookmark set as not accessible by the visibility rules

By selecting the desired Tag, its detail view opens and users can see all content items having this specific tag assigned and they can access/play it directly from Tag view:

Browser - end user's view

Empty Tags are not shown to end users in the Launcher. When the Public Tag is assigned only to not translated content, or to the content which is not accessible because of the visibility rules, users will not see it in the Launcher.

Translations

Public Tags can be used in multiple languages along with content items. They can either be created in the desired source language, or translated like any other content item by uploading the translated file to the Portal.
